Vastu

Vastu Shastra is a traditional Indian system of architecture and design that incorporates principles of ancient Indian science of architecture. . Literally, the term "Vastu" refers to the science of architecture and construction, while "Shastra" means knowledge or doctrine. Vastu Shastra generally is referred to as "Vastu Vidya" or "Vastu Science” which incorporates principles of astrology, astronomy, and spirituality to provide guidelines but not limited to design and layout of buildings, as well as for the placement of furniture, objects, and other elements within a space.

Vedic

Vastu Shastra is considered a Vedic subject which refers to the ancient scriptures and teachings of India that date back over 5000 years. As one of the branches of Vedic knowledge and rooted in the ancient Indian understanding, the principles of Vastu Shastra are believed to have been developed by ancient sages who sought to create harmonious and balanced living spaces that supported the well-being and prosperity of their inhabitants. These principles are based on the Vedic concept of "Vaastu Purusha," a mystical god figure, which is a personification of the cosmic energy that is believed to reside within a building.

Architectural Study

Thought the principles of Vastu Shastra provide guidelines for the design and layout of buildings, as well as for the placement of furniture, objects, and other elements within a space but the aim of Vastu Shastra is to create harmonious and balanced living spaces that support the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the occupants through changes and alignments in the architecture which can be achieved through the use of principles such as the placement of rooms, doors, and windows in specific directions, the use of certain colors and materials, and the placement of furniture and objects in a way that enhances the flow of energy within a space.

Treasure

Vastu Shastra is believed to have many benefits, including the potential to bring prosperity and abundance into one's life which are more valuable than the material objects. By following the guidelines of Vastu Shastra, it is believed that one can create a harmonious and balanced living space that supports physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as well as financial prosperity leading to creation of wealth and joy.  In this sense, Vastu Shastra is a "treasure" in the sense that it can provide a framework for creating a living space that enhances one's quality of life and potential for success.

Universe

There is nothing beyond this universe and thus Vastu Shastra is considered a universal science that its principles are believed to be applicable to all living space, regardless of location, culture, or religion because both the universe and vastu have in common is five elements of air, water, fire, earth and space as their basic components.

The principles of Vastu Shastra are also based on observations of the natural world and the effects of environmental factors on human beings, such as sunlight, wind, and the electromagnetic field of the earth. This scientific approach to architecture and design is believed to be applicable to any living space, and can be adapted to suit different cultural and personal preferences.
